szinzan Another excellent release. I'm always amazed at how many steps and pots and pans Physical Therapy is willing to go through to get the special dish. I wonder if any traditional recipes would skip cooking the beats and go straight to filling em raw. I love Physical Therapy!

about

They say it takes a village to raise a scene. But going to town at the cutting edge of highly online, intermittently danceable electronic music for a full 10 years? That takes a particularly determined kind of web sheriff.

Re-released, re-mastered and still re-levant, Hyperextension spans 2010-2020 through the fine lens of Physical Therapy remixes.

The 30-track, 2-part comp tells the story of a world that has morphed fitfully without pause, a decade of styles real and imagined. Thrill family, friends and Zoom dates with your buffed-up knowledge of such genres as Softcore, 3-Step, Dub From Heaven, and everyone’s favourite, ‘Speed.’ If someone’s named ‘em, you can bet we've tried ‘em.

Laid down somewhere between LaGuardia, Gatwick, Tegel and the most far-out of Altered Zones, these edits have soundtracked countless summer days, half-remembered house parties, and cherished DIY venues long since crushed and made into Vice offices.

Back in 2010, when a doe-eyed Daniel first turned his hand to slowing and stretching Alicia Keys’ “Unthinkable,” who would have thought he would be at it 10 years later? But Vol.1 of Hyperextension is more than just jamming on the Keys: CFCF, Mykki Blanco, Eric Copeland, Laurel Halo and a guest we cannot explicitly name for legal reasons are gathered under a single roof, lassoed together for the most fabulous, rambunctious and extremely bloggable dinner party ever conceived.

Hyperextension, Vol.1: The Complete Physical Therapy Edits 2010-2020 is released on May 1st.

Vol.2 to come in the following weeks.
